Auction is now over..... that was cheap $535 with a blown head gasket..... could have been repaired for less than $500

It's a good thing I don't live in the north east USA.... I'd have about 40 Daewoo cars by now

if i was their i'd end up buying all of them... head gasket job costs 35 USD in labour and almost half that for parts in here, i can even do it myself and save the labour cost... will end up cheaper than hell.

if anyone willing to provide me with a fully equipted garage we can start a partnership and run a very successful business.

If it overheated badly enough you'd have to replace the piston rings and have the head shaved at a machine shop to get rid of warped cylinderhead surface.

Odds are if you simply replaced the headgasket it would "blow" again within days, weeks, months.

That's why I said it was fixable for less than $500

IC... in my case i replaced the gasket as it leaked oil from the oil port at the header side so no machining was required whatsoever for me.

no one knows the deal with that lanos you mentioned so it will cost more to get every thing covered.
