Took my first spill =(

Post by Aneab »

Welp fell off my motorcycle about an hour ago lol... thing is pretty banged up... I left it at the dealership to get an estimate of how much it'll be to fix... Everything was cosmetic damage... Shook me up pretty good but other then that... I'm fine...

When riding a bike I was taught to never fixate on a stationary object, it would land me on the ground... lol i guess i wanted to test that theroy or something today... theres no joke about it... it's true...

Luckily I landed in dirt, and was only going about 35mph... but the bike was still in sad shape... Can't wait to get back on it though... lol...

This all comes when i just landed a new job making more money than my previous job and opening new doors to the future, so im excited... Soon the woo shall be fixed, and I'll be on my way!

You are very lucky. My friend dropped his bike with his girlfriend on it doing about 35-40 mph. Her ankle got ripped open. It's an open fracture and a piece of her bone is missing... so they are going to replace the whole ankle with a titanium one... so she'll never feel the same again.

Once again, dropping a bike even at 35mph doesn't seem to be that bad, but the consequences could be. Glad you're ok though... and don't worry about the bike, it's fixable. ;)

Nah i know how it could've turned out, I landed in soft dirt that had just been grated... I didn't slide though and thats what hurt the most... all my energy stopped when i hit the ground =(

35mph is no joke... so... yeah...

I landed a few feet away from some rather large river rocks... I swear something picked me up and put me right in between the two piles of rocks and into the dirt... If i'd been about two feet in either direction i'd have hit at least one large rock.

after checking myself out, and my bike i rode it about 10 miles to the shop i bought it at... and left it there... I know i'm lucky... it could've gone a lot worse, and i'm glad i always wear a brain bucket... my face would be in bad shape if i hadn't...

I was thrown out of a car at about 20-30mph...just slow enough for me to run about 5 steps before my shoe fell off and I hit the ground, broke my jaw twice. If I hadn't been drinking I probably would have had enough reaction to put my hands all the way infront but I only caught my fall slightly with one hand screwing it up pretty badly as well. Jaw wired shut for a month, 7 root canals, 1 new tooth, and a buncha other crap later I'm okay again. Speed really doesnt seam to matter if you hit just right.

Holy shmoly! They should come up with a new state law, stating that it's required that you use a full face helmet when drinking... lol. I guess it'd be very hard to drink as well.
