$70 is a good price. You can get them for as little as $35 or less on Ebay, and you can also get $1500 full Daewoo diagnostic computers.
They're useful if you do a lot of car work. But considering how often your car throws a CEL, wouldn't it make more sense just to go down to the local Autozone/Advance Auto Parts and get them to scan it for free?
Yes, it does make more since to go to AutoZone etc,
And if I lived closer to one and had a "CEL" ? I would do that.
But I'm out here where the jack-rabbits carry canteens and it's 100 miles to the closest town !
Just the thought of looking at a lit up "CEL" all that way, by the time I got there, would either be the end of my woo's engine
or worry me to death.
Living out here forces me to buy tools that I may never need.
And ?......... I like tools.
A good used one off of E-bay sounds like a plan.
