i had a "missfire" since the car its been on the road.

i though it was a missfire, but it really wasnt, the car was getting no fuel when i floorit, hence the no engine response

i didnt do anything about it because i was not reving the car, i was moving around barely using full throttle and no more then 4000 revs.

well a week ago, i was going around a slow "blind" intersection... slowly im crossing when i hear a big tyre squeel ...

i look into my left and a pickup truck did lock up the brakes because it was going way fast , i tried to move quick... and guess what..

the car didnt move... i only said "OH NO!!!!, shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit"

the pickup stoped about 2 feet from my left door. (drivers side)

slowly moved way and my heart was about 9999999999999999999999999 beats per second.

next day i called my tuner saying "I HAVE TO FIX THIS" on sartuday (day off) i went to the shop and started to check on everything possible, all the electrical parts were ok, new spark plugs in, check the distributor cap, checked for fuel leaks ... everything was OK. i started her up... fullthrottle AGAIN the engine bogs down...

i sit for about 20 mins... "let me take the pump out" i say, i didnt wanted to because i know the pump couldnt be bad... for my surprise the little rubber hose that connects to the pump and to the metal pipe was bad!!! quickly went in and found a fuel rubber hose than came with a walbro pump... i change it... installed the pump back in the car.

and its FIXED!! something so simple was the cause of the problem! :D

to be honest i wasnt able to rev the engine with the new manifold and in the 3door. and it feels more quicker than the 4 door and with a smother power delivery.

sorry for the long history

Far out!!!!! Glad to hear you made it out alive from that!

How do you mean the hose was bad? What was wrong with it?

Tim: maybe it was craked or so and was reducing the flow from the pump.
Efra: so glad you got out unharmed man.

Wow, talk about a close call.

Glad to read that you are still among us and that the fix is now in place.
