Efrain use to be able to pay via Paypal.... but he was saying the host stopped taking Paypal which made payment a problem.

I've been talking with him to see if there is a better solution (such as giving them my credit card to debit each month)

Efrain is going through some rough times...... even though I'm still helping to support the site.... he could sure use some donations to help him out.

Hopefully he doesn't mind me saying this...... but they make about 1/10th as much money in the Dominican Republic as we do here in USA/Canada.

im very sorry for not having the site online lately,

as said above im trying to get a solution for it,

thanks to OZ for offering his server a while ago but sorry this cant be done (i have my reasons)

some have talked to be with a "strange" tone lately, let me try to make some points clear

ive run daewootech for 4 years..?, ive met some very special friends on it especially a couple of canadians, and i dont want to lose any of them, the site its still a big priority for me. i dont earn any money out of this. in fact for the first years i payed all, then Chris stepped in and gave me a hand with the hosting and OZ made a big donation sometime ago, also thanks to those who chiped a small fee too. its been said, my provider stoped using paypal because of a fraud. months ago i started to pay for everything again. but thanks to our crap economy money is getting very very very tight.

there're different ways to talk to people, especially typing. im not playing anyone, im currently "broke" and even searching for job opportunities overseas and dont get me wrong im not asking for money, im just trying to make things clear.

It's a shame you cant take up one of our hosting offers, as together we can ensure Daewootech stays online!

I am happy the site is back up, and I hope all works out with your financial problems. I would most certainly donate if I could, but I too am broke since I quite my good job and went back to school full time.

If at any time you wish to transfer the site to my server, the offer still stands, but I totally respect that you have reasons for not doing so.
I just want to help because you and this forum have helped me so much. Thanks again for running Daewootech!

I am glad its back up too

You dont need to feel like your asking us for money I mean we have enough members to get small donations and pay a full year upfront for hosting please find out how much that would costs and then maybe you can have a raffell for some daewoo things like stickers or even what ever somebody may donate also please goto www.cafepress.com and open an account and when you have time make some daewoo tech shirts and cups and ect. BUT PLEASE NOBODY ELSE DO THIS LET HIM DO IT IF YOU DONT HAVE TIME i WOULD LIKE TO DO IT FOR YOU I DO IT FOR A FEW OTHER FORUMS

Hi Slammed, I'm a little confused.... you want Efrain to buy T-shirts with Daewootech logos and sell them??? Is that correct????

Ummm.... if he had the money to buy T-shirts he would have paid for a full year's worth of hosting.

It's not just the cost of hosting... he has to pay for internet access at home to be able to maintain the site. (currently I think he's on slow ass dialup)

I would think that if this is being done someone in the USA would have to buy the shirts, collect the money for the shirts and then send it to Efrain.

Bank transfers to the Dominican Republic are a pain ( I transfered money to Efrain and there were all kinds of extra fees and hassle to go through )

I don't know if he has a way to remove PAYPAL money or not.... perhaps he can comment.

NO IT DOES NOT COST HIM A THING ITS FREE HE MAKES COMMISSION OFF OF THE SALES he just has to design logogs and stuff for the shirts and cups ect but we (daewoo community) can make logos we would like to see on those items

and yes that is what I do for the forums I posted I send them the money as a donation via paypal in which they then withdrawl and pay hosting fees but we can do it any other way that would help him

oh and if we held a raffel and or what ever way we could generate money for him and the site is find with me in other words if I donated for the sites hosting or maintance ect he can use it to pay for hosting or for his internet connection its still for daewootech in my opinion
