My new Lanos arrived

Post by PrecisionBoost »

Well..... it took quite a while but I finally recieved the Lanos I bought from DavesDaewoo

The engine knocks but I think it's related to oil starvation in the top end.

Dave thought it was a connecting rod but the pattern is too even and it doesn't have the deep "bang" of a rod or crank bearing

So I feel confident that I can repair it for a reasonable price..... then who knows.... perhaps I will turbo the crap out of it. :D or drop in one of my 2.0L engines.

Anyways.... the body is in really decent condition.... needs some work to bring it up to where I can get it inspected and put on the road but I figure it should be ready by spring time.

Here is a picture.... this is at the rail yard in the early morning after I've loaded it up onto my trailer.

Nice. It always makes me sad to see you getting all these... That's 3 that I know of (one being a LeMans) in the past year...
