Easy to brake into a Lanos Cheap!!

Post by TxDAEWOOxT »

My car got robbed about 3 weeks ago and the very nice criminals did a good job.(They didnt break the glass)
On the exterior of the door there is a plastic peice of trim that covers the glass.
The crook broke that plastic peice and pulled the window out and took like 2 dollars in change and
my wifes gym shoes. What a stupid criminal!!!!!!!!

If you ever lock your keys in your car and you dont have any spares. Break the peice
of trim and just pull the window out and unlock the door. The trim cost $20 from the dealer
here in the states.

How could they pull the glass out, it's screwed into the regulator which is screwed into the door?

i've done it before. went thru the passenger side to get something and left the keys on the seat. when i opened the door i locked it from the inside. freakin sucked it was like 3am and i had to walk thru a shitty ass part of town to go wake up my friend so he could drive me home to get the spare.

Or just buy those slim jims from autozone and whereever for a few bucks. Shouldn't take you more than 5 mins to figure out and doesnt break anything.

slim jims doesn't work on our cars the locking mechanism has to pop up and down before you can use that style, YOu will only be moving the handle up and down, which desn't do you no amonut of good, since you can pull the handle up without the thing XD.

I wish i could find a pic of the Lanos door to show you what im talking about. You would have to break the trim and pull the top of the glass out of its rubber track (gasket). It wouldnt matter where the window regulator is at.

I am sorry if i explained it wrong. You would not pull the glass out of the door. You would just pull the glass away from the gasket enough to get you hand in there and unlock the door.
