Well Erfinder, the FSO stands for Fabryka Samochodow Osobowych, which can be losely translated as "The Car Factory"

, building vehicles under the 'FSO' make. The factory itself was located in Warsaw, Poland. FSO made some some fanky models over the years....

Daewoo bought the polish FSO back in the 90-ties. The plant was re-equipped for the assembly of Daewoo models, and built them for the polish, mostly, market. The factory fall into major financial problems after the Daewoo bankrupcy, and lack of trust in the Korean maker. In 2003 they sold only a handful of cars, so I have read somewhere.
