urgant assistance needed again
as you may have read in my previous post I did my water pump today. I put tension on as was in the instructions, however this made the belt sing like a birdy and wear on the outside. Should I be lining the pointer to pointer on the tensioner. I am getting too much tension the way rthe instructions say. Please help

check the how to section for a topic about the timing belt replacement... look at the step of tensioning the belt
the belt is tensioned by the water pump indeed but the correct amount of tension depends on centering the arrow on the tensioner
