Nubira Wiring Diagrams / Immobiliser

Post by Carr »

Hi All,

I am chasing a J150 Nubira 2.0l wiring diragram so I can disconnect the original immobiliser and install a new alarm. I was previously using the one linked in the FAQ thread, but it is now a broken link. I have searched the forum and checked the other topics I found but could only find the Romanian version. I downloaded it but it would take me years to translate it (has taken 2 days to get to page 7 of 2062) to work out which diagram I need.

Can someone please send me a copy or post a link to an english version?
My email is chirscarr@hotmail.com

Thanks
Chris

You can try http://www.eserviceinfo.com/index.php?p ... at=search2 . There is a english version for nubira/lacetti but I think it's for J200 model year 2004.

Thanks, I have just found the one you are talking about. It is the J200 which may be ok, I haven't checked it against the car yet. I have also found this site which is the same but only the wiring diagram section.

I seem to have a different immobiliser than the ones in the diagrams as it operates via remote which also controls the central locking. That and I don't have a transmitter in the key. Anyone else know anything about this immobiliser?

I think you mean "remote entry & anti-theft" function when you say you want to change "original immobiliser" for a new alarm system.
The "immobiliser unit" is a sophisticated function that works via a transponder in the key. You can't simply remove it since it wait for a valid key before sending a coded release signal to the the ECU.
But maybe you system is different.

Can this link help you? http://rapidshare.com/files/154249450/Nubira.zip.html .

Thanks for your replies Daniel. You are correct with what I am trying to do but I do not have that type of immobiliser. The one I have has the appearance of an aftermarket remote but with Daewoo labeling. The Nubira model I have is a CDX Limited Sedan which came fitted with the remote entry as standard. I will have a look tonight to see if I can find the control module and see what it hooked up to in the loom. Has anyone else got this style of immobiliser? If I can disable it then I can still install the new one.

That's stange you haven't immobiliser too. If you look at your key do you see a dot like on the pic? That's the place of the transponder. Works like a RFID system.

My keys don't have that transponder, the immobiliser works with the same remote as the remote locking. With the immobiliser on (shown by the flashing light) i can put the key in and it works as normal on acc. but there is nothing when you turn it to start. I could probably follow the wiring on the light and see where it goes. If it goes into the loom then it is a factory one (but different) or if it goes straight to a control box then it would be aftermarket which was fitted by the dealer. I have a feeling that it is a dealer fitted item now that I have thought about it a bit more as the flashing light is mounted on the steering column which wouldn't be the standard place for it.

I have almost worked it all out, it is an aftermarket immobiliser. I traced the LED wire back to the source and it was a control box with a loom of black wires coming out. This loom extended to the ignition wires and interupts the ignition loom. Now all I need to do is swap 1 plug and re-wire the plug on the ingition barrel.

I can't find my multimeter anywhere, Can anyone tell me the wiring of the main large plug on the ignition barrel?
