screws were everywhere, in the front and the back, down the front glass, for this job you will need special tools.

I have a 99 Lanos and I had an ennoying vibration noise , which I thought was the dash.
It turned out to be the right side hood hinge. where the two hinge sections meet
there is a clearence that buzzes at idle and at low speeds. I fixed it with a piece
of weather stripping between hood and body. I found it by accident. The car was
idling and I pressed down on the corner of the hood, And the noise was gone. Before
you remove the dash, why not check for other areas. I hope this response has helped.

Hello, thanks for the advice, I managed to find the noise, the problem was an aluminum bracket that holds the dashboard and the windshield vents, this bracket is located under the dashboard at the bottom of the windshield, the brackets of this bracket were broken I was forced to disassemble the entire car, I had to also remove the steering wheel :(

ok guys, I managed to remove the dashboard, the bracket that I mentioned is a reinforcement to prevent the flex dashboard.

I decided to remove everything, iron bar and air ducts, soundproof the cockpit from the engine and put on the air ducts with cloth to avoid resonance when using A/C system and then put on the dash in suede

what iron bar did you remove?
I hope you didn't take out the main support as it forms a core part of the cars structural rigidity...

anyway, that looks like a pig of a job. And also a pig of a job to put it back in...

remove the dash panel is not simple, but reassemble it really easy, now I show you my current situation,I removed some of the cables, I covered the wires with new isolant tape and locked the cables with plastic strips, where the cables touched the body and bar I added a particular rubber to prevent the noise and with the excuse, I did pass subwoofer cables, for to make a clean job. here's a photo:

Unfortunately I do not have a garage, I have to do this work on the street, I'm very sorry that in Italy the Lanos is very hated.
