Daewoo lacetti , holden Viva stalling on startup?

sometimes when i start up car, it will stall straight away, its been happening more often, recently, the revs are very low. car has been serviced, any ideas would be appreciated. after a bit it will run normal and not stall at lights when its warmed up , but if you turn of car and turn it back on again it will do same thing. regards Brian

Maybe your egr valve is defective. I would try to replace it's gasket by a blind one it in a first time.

ok thanks. it idles very low as well , when this happens, and stalls also, i will try to fix the problem tomorrow. regards

Oh btw forgot to mention iac valve that can be dirty/sticky. Try cleaning it and a shot wd40 on its axle.

ok i tried cleaning the EGR valve, i used some degreaser, but too be honest looks like it was changed before i bought the car, it looked pretty clean . But when i did put it upside down it would make a noise as if something was loose inside? also i was told to check the iac valve that can be dirty/sticky?? still to try this one. thanks
