The pic's look very sweet ....
i believe i should hit the bonnet.

a yeah about high revving the engine. i would suggest when you want to go 8k-rpm.

Change the stock rodbolt's for ARP
Change the Hydr. Lifters for Mechanical
Than you have the biggest problems eliminated.

by the way whats the advantage of the honda intake.
Straightaways are for fast cars. Corners are for FAST DRIVERS !

Thanks for the tips...

the ARP bolts are the next thing to do... but thats for next year...

About the honda ECU... whell my mechanic can re program the maps and add features such as the shift light (in the check engine light), FTL (full throttle lauch) and other things... something like a full programable stuff with the factory ecu...

Some news... the engine is in! :D

but as we spected the Intake sits way to high... so a we'll work on a new setup...

Ill post some pics tomorrow of the engine installed ;)

moin,

1. mistake: better to build in the engine with the intake into your car!
2. mistake: wash your hand before touching the XE-head

and use a brace after all is compelte...e.g. from OMP for a opel kadett E gsi. you will need it!

Efrain.

Some news...

We... have decided to ditch the honda/opel intake welding and build a new intake from scratch...

We'll retain the C20XE flange and use it on the new prototype...

the basic idea is this Lexmaul Intake (a german tunning company):

also in cosideration we're looking at this desing (not polish):

Yep, its getting expensive... but if im gonna do things i better do it right...

Hmmm.... it would appear that those Lexmaul intakes are worth about $1000 USD.

I don't imagine making a custom one will be all that cheap either.

Does the 2.0L Nubira intake fit the C20XE ???

I know the heads are different but perhaps the bolt pattern is close.

Hi from Germany,

i don't whant to destroy your plans but the Lexmaul ram is not worth the money!
In Germany we had a lot of discussions about it and regarding to the money you have to spend for it it's not worth it!

The basic C20XE has allready a high spead (around 160 HP). I have a C20XE with 2.8 Mot and on the motor power testing station i achieved 168 HP http://calibra.de/forum/gallery.php?act ... image=3266
The only changes i made are Magnex Kat Back System and a Lexmaul exhaustmanifold.

Chris,

Belive me it will be a LOT cheaper...

Claudio (my mechanic) already had some aluminium pipes lying around in the shop for the intake runners, tomorrow he's getting the square pipe for the plenum...

about the nubi intake, honestly i bet the bolt patter is different.

Some news,

Today i got to look at the prototype of Intake plenum... and honestly it looks pretty cool and promising :D

Also had a look at a print of the desing (made in some desing program by a engineer) of the adapter for the ignition... also looked pretty good

My mechanic says he doesnt want to me to plublish any pictures until its done :P although i havent take any from the new intake desing

After this afternoon i have been with a smile everywere :D

Everybody is very anxious at the shop to see the Daewoo's (aka as washing machine :lmao:) engine running... I can't wait!!!
