Flashing Nubira II ECU

Post by nickRP »

Hello!

I became really curious about flashing the 2003 Nubira 2.0 ECU. I did it lot of times with different ECUs (only Weber Marelli though). I did compete reverse engineering of one of them, so it took a lot of time (that I am not willing to invest one more time).

So an explanation of (or a link to) a protocol would be worth gold in this case. Or if there are more enthusiasts (familiar more or less with embedded systems) willing to join this 'project' we might start reversing the ECU.

BTW, are there some chip dumps available? Comparing different chips for same car usually easily reveals the important data portions.

Cheers,
Nick

What engine management system does your 2003 Nubira use??

The older nubira ECM is different than my Optra ECM ( Daewoo Lacetti )

Is your engine an X20SED?? ( mine is a U20SED )

I was just talking with Tom and we were trying to remember the manufacturer of the Nubira I.... I think it was a Delco/Remy where as my new ECU is a Delphi system.

First I have to correct myself... A car has been bought mid 2003, but it is actually Nubi I. I misunderstood my friend, as I am not into Daewoo cars.

ECU is also Delco... Are those bad or good news?

The engine is X20SED.
