2L Nubira injectors on 1.5L 8v lanos

Post by ubuyau »

So there is alot of talk about people fitting the 2L injectors to the 1.5L lanos. Does anyone know details of it? Are they straight drop in replacement of the original injectors using the same fuel rail/electrical connectors etc? Use same fuel pump/regulator?

Ive got the malpassi, but if i can get 2L injectors at a cheap enough price i might get them too if i can just drop them in using standard everything else?

and according to feedback from woo_sleeper and other people; using those injectors alone will make the car run rich... you need an after market fuel pressure regulator or so to get the full use of the upgrade or else it is a wast of money.

Ive got a rising rate malpassi fuel regulator in series with the stock regulator, so i'd only be running higher pressure which to my understanding would be more fuel...

I dont mind it running rich low in the rev range (eg before boost) if its better thru the mid and upper...

I'll see how i go just with the rising rate regulator and stock boost. Good to hear they are a straight drop in replacement tho!
