Aveo Lanos heads different?
Well Subachad and I were comparing some things. Looks like the Aveo and Lanos have different cylinder heads. The aveo injectors mount into intake manifold, while Subachad said the Lanos injectors mount into the head. can any body post some pics. Here is the pic of the Aveo injector

Aveo that moves! Now I need those cams!
This is the best shot I have of the intake manifold where the injectors would be.
You can see it goes right into the head and there's no where for the injectors to ride.
This intake manifold is for sale by the way $35 shipped. I need to get it out of here. It won't work on the Aveo.

you got that right Efrain... on my 1.5 Lanos the injectors are mounted on the intake and i suppose it is the same case in the 1.6.so that must be odd.
the first pic is very similat to my fuel rail\injector setup... my injectors look different but other than that it is the same, as for the 1.6 intake... i will try to search in my Woo pic archive for a better shot of the intake to see where the injectors are.

Well... the guys are quite right, the injectors on the 1.6 is mounted on the head not the intake.
you can see on the first pic the injectors are right above the intake, OK the injectors are not in the pic but you can see their ports.
here is a pic for the head... the injectors go where the rugs are
a closeup on the ports
so it is confirmed now that the injectors are on the head of the 1.6 16 valves DOHC... on my 1.5 8 valve SOHC it is on the intake but now i am not sure what is the setup on the 2.0 and 2.2 engines.

not really sure... the pic in the begining of the post is not showing the whole fuel rail but from what i saw it seems that this is the case.
that rectangular fuel rail is just like that one here...
the injectors are different than mine but i saw the very same injectors on the '05 Lanos we got in here.
i remeber on some older post we reached a conclusion that the 1.5 injectors are the same as the 1.6 and that fuel rail is very close to the one on my 1.5 so it seems to be true.

That 1.5 head looks like a single overhead cam. The Aveo is DOHC.

So??... the 1.5 SOHC and the 1.6 DOHC share the same injectors so why don't the Aveo share them??subachad wrote:That 1.5 head looks like a single overhead cam. The Aveo is DOHC.

No what he's saying is that the 1.5L in that pic was SOHC. Does anyone have any pics of a 1.5L DOHC engine?mmamdouh wrote:So??... the 1.5 SOHC and the 1.6 DOHC share the same injectors so why don't the Aveo share them??subachad wrote:That 1.5 head looks like a single overhead cam. The Aveo is DOHC.
