Well, I ordered the EBC brake pads for my '99 Lanos! Today they came!
I ordered the pre VIN #447433 part and guess what?
The sh*t don't fit my car. They sent out the post #447433 part, in really poor, rusty condition too. For you Lanos guys, they sent me the ones with the "hooks" on the sides, not the plain ones with the nubby little pins that fit into the caliper.
For you guys with the correct pre #447433 part, what part number should I ask for in my complaint?
This just ain't my day. FedEx lost my door handle due to a totally retarded delivery man, Tirerack sent the wrong f*cking part, and the guy I've ordered my drilled/slotted rotors from took the money from Paypal without so much as a word to me. F*ck I'm pissed

Wait, perhaps my car is weird, like a test car or something.
My VIN number is KLATC5262xb261252, but according to the EBC website and the KVR pads on the 360Dynamics website, I have the other type of pads, just with the pins, not the hooks and the large brass piece that clips onto something. Maybe it has something to do with ABS?
If this is true, then I assume brake pads from a Nubira or a Leganza could potentially fit my car, as it has the same type of pad as is listed for Nubiras and Leganzas.
Hell, this is going to be difficult to explain to Tirerack.com.

it is a common issue with the Lanos as they came with two different braking systems, the DAC and the TEVES
the DAC ones got pads that have I shaped ends and the caliper doesn't have any metal claps things on the sides.
the TEVES ones got pads that have T shaped ends and the caliper have a kinda metal clamp on the side.

The first one is daewooluvr's and those are types of pads that I have...the more basic kind, the kind with Downhill Assit Control (DAC) instead of the other "T" one. The DAC ones are apparently for later Lanoses, but I have one of the earliest models and it uses those pads. Again, I wonder how Tirerack will take this. .

I don't think it is an option for manual cars. If you have an Automatic Transmission and you put it in 1 for uphill climbing, the engine alone will apply extra pressure to the brakes when you are going downhill. It's for safety I guess, but for the most part it is useless, especially in Florida. But I think due to it, the calipers are different.
