I got mine for $2500 (2001 Lanos Sport HB) from a dealer. The only reason the price was so low is because it had "damaged suspension" (cut springs). It only had 38k miles on it at the time!!
that is Australian Dollars not USD.

I know. So it translates to around 8k usd. That's high.

Actually, maybe you experts here can help me. I was led to believe that my Lanos came with central locking, as per the dealer's sheet below:

However, upon pickup of the car and taking it home, I have since found out that there is no central locking at all. I have to operate the passenger door manually. Did this model in fact come with central locking or not? Was the dealer misinformed or is it possible that the central locking is faulty?

Or perhaps he just didn't get the remote with the car...

I had this situation when I bought my Malibu. It had keyless entry but no remote. We bought the remote, took it to the chevy dealer, and they programmed it. :-D

No he didn't. You can't base the value of it by what they're worth in the US. Keep in mind that they still sell like hotcakes in Australia. So of course the value is going to be much higher.

lanos idea of central locking is using the key in your driver door, which in turn, unlocks the left and rear.

I have put full central on mine, came with exact that central locking, but i added the drivers motor.

ditch cheep shit strathfield.

if your in qld also, drop by caboolture autobarn, i am workshop manager, i'll cre for you in getten a immobilzer and central locking installed

Well I have to admit things have not been entirely smooth sailing with the car. Since taking delivery, the airconditioning has failed (blows hot air), the brakes have begun to squeal and the CD player jumps and skips on all CDs! Not impressed with the Lanos.

what cd player is it and how old, and what sort of cd's are you playing?
brakes could be the pads...equals shit.
air con, could happen on any car.
not sticking up for the car, but there are variables. i own a 45 grand nissan x trail. and it is the biggest peice of shit, 3 engine 6 head units says that.
But i have owned 2 daewoo's both have been unbeliveably reliable.
