where's this wire go???
got the obdII scanned today, came up with low voltage curcuit 1 bank 1. i'm pretty sure it's grounding wire issue. there was one wire i couldn't firgure out where it went when i finished putting the engine in. so i just attached it to the engine.
here's the link to the pic.

i just need someone to tell me where that stupid green wire is supposed to go.
thanks

seems like the "battry to engine" grounding, take a look at this pic to see where it bolts... this is the nearest intake bolt to the battery.
also the fault discription you mentioned sounds more like an O2 sensor problem.

In that picture, it looks like the wire is running straight from the positive terminal to the valve cover, which would cause a fire, so if there is no fire, I guess it's not.
Best thing to do is see if there is any voltage at the wire, or if it's just a ground. If it's just a ground, then it should be ok where it is, but it's not where one would usually run a ground to.

just realized that the wire goes into the +ve pole of the battry.
the wire seems very much as a ground wire and from the lenth it seems like the engine ground wire... that is mounted where i have illustrated in the previous pics.
if the wire connects the engine block to the +ve pole of the battry then your car should be toast by now.
again i highly suspect that that fault diagnosis is a grounding issue... it is more like the P0131 DTC which reads: O2 bank 1 sensor 1 low voltage. so its an O2 sensor problem rather than grounding.

No, that wire is going to a grounding point just below the positive side of the battery which you can see as the rusty circle in that pic.ChiPPy wrote:In that picture, it looks like the wire is running straight from the positive terminal to the valve cover, which would cause a fire, so if there is no fire, I guess it's not.

the reason i said for someone to check their car is because the stud in that pic that MMamdouh posted is too big for the terminal that's on the wire. and i still have a bolt- that fits the terminal on the wire- that's label reads "ground LH" from when i took the bolt out. so that wire definatly doesn't go on that engine stud.
and the 02 sensor is probably bad. sat around for a year in my garage bolted to just the manifold...

as far as ground wires are concerned, their is a battery to body wire and battry to engine wire... if you got both correctly attached then you don't need to worry.
the battery to engine wire goes to the part i illustrated in the pic... if the terminal doesn't fit then maybe you used the body ground wire on the engine or so... on my car it fits perfictly.
the battery to body wire goes to the part between the battry and the strut tower... in your pic it is that rusty bolt deep down.
just make sure you got both ground wires attached correctly and you did not mix up the body ground wire with the engine ground wire.
