Welcome Gsi 16v turbo,
Your pics:
Very nice Astra!
370 ps!!! i bet its quite fast? any 1/4 mile times?
How did you manage to reduce the compresion with standard pistons? the LET has a compresion of 9.0:1.

This is a quote from your PM,Gsi 16v Turbo wrote:Hi.I see thar you know a lot of things about opel.
C20LET pistons are Mahle. My mechanic told me that they are forged Mahle and they can handle a lot of power.I built my let with Arrows con rods and original pistons and the compression is 8,45:1.My mechanic is going to get 450-500 ps.Before this builting it was 370 ps and 52 kg torque with stock block and compression 8,2:1.What do you think?

It's calculated with 370 ps at 13,5''.We'll see with 450 ps what times it will achieve.
The compression is reduced with 2 head gaskets from Z20LET.The one was regularly placed and from the other we used one from the leaves. The Z20LET head gasket is metalic and its constituded from 4 leaves.

I've seen a Nova with C20LET about 600ps.It uses a C20XE lightweight crankshaft balanced and a lot more lightened without any problems.C20LET's stock crankshaft can handle over 500 ps without problems for a dayly use in adittion the stock rods must be changed over 380 ps.

Some time ago the dyno showed at 1,4ct more than 600ps and 75kgm of torque.
We had some fuel problems from the fuel regulator and high outside temperatures.Theese problems didn't let us to get 650ps at 1,4ct.
We'll try with 2bar ct!
