During my research on the C20LET I found that the average price was about $2000 ( not installed ) so $2k Installed is a decent price.
The F28 tranny ranges from $500 to $2200.
The $2200USD F28 was a quote from a performance transmission rebuilder who converts it to FWD, installes a Quaife LSD and everything is polished, blueprinted, shotpeened and assembled with great care.
The owner told me that a very carefully prepared F28 will take huge power levels.... but he did not get into specifics.
I told him I was looking for 600hp and his response was that they have installed their F28 transmissions into 400hp C20LET equiped rally cars without a problem but 600hp may be too much for it to handle.
He suggested an automatic transmission or a purpose built race tranny. ( Hewland ??? something like that)
I would say that 2800 Euro is a little on the high side for a stock C20LET and stock F28 but it's not unreasonable by any means.
Where is this engine/tranny located??
Shipping by Sea would be the only reasonable method of transport.
I'd say that 2800 Euro shipped to the USA would be a decent price.
