just an update on that... and hour and half ago i was on the high way kinking some Hayndai accent 1.3 driver's ass at 170 Km/h... i was very concentrating on the road that i couldn't look at my speedometer so i asked my passenger "what speed am i doing now??" he said "170" that was the highest speed i have ever done in my woo

the manual states that the top speed of my car (1.5 SOHC) is 172 Kms... OK i was going on a slightly down sloaping section of the road with a removed resonator and CAT but i had an extra passenger along side, a 11 Kg jack, 18 Kg tool bag and other crap in the trunk causing extra weight, i say my woo is pretty healty for a 6.5 years old little car

I wouldnt think weight would make much difference at high speeds

weight makes difference at all speeds... it is the force opposing your attemps to move.

if you were correct then an 8 ton dump truck can run head to head with your car if you both are going at 110 MPH (where you assumed weight doesn't count) but that is not the case... maybe you need less torque to accelerate at higher speeds but still you will need more power to speed up a heavier car.

Every time ive tried topping out my car i make sure theres at least someone in the car and a full tank of gas so i have better stability... hmm... i should go try to top my car out then.. w/o all that weight and the new pulley maybe 140s possible now, if its safe at that speeds w/ lack of weigt
