could be a dumb question to the people with more Aveo knowledge but... is that the Lanos 1.6 16 valve engine in the Aveo??

any Aveo owner got better pics for that engine??

its not the exact same engine. there a little differences here and there. more than i'd like those engines to have since they'll have aftermarket support soon which means not all parts will be interchangable.

Correct, and every day we find something that seperates the engines a bit more. However, they are made by Daewoo, all you have to do is look up at all the emmissions/vaccuum info on the underside of the hood and it will say "Made by Daewoo".

Correction assembled by Daewoo The engine is made by Opel/GM at least in the Aveo. The bodies are made in Aussie by Holden. It's all GM, there is no such thing anymore "made by daewoo" it's all GM made. Yes the Aveo 1.6L is different. the head and everything up is different from the Lanos 1.6 don't know about the short block, but some one posted on here that the pistons are also different.
Aveo that moves! Now I need those cams!

IDK: When I was at the car show and look at the hood of the Reno it said something along the lines of "MADE BY GMDAT (GM DAEWOO)" I could be wrong but I have to wait till October to check again at the Tampa Bay Auto Show.
