pick me a sub
Okay.. i didnt think my last sub (of two) could break anymore.. but it has and now it barley works and i need SPL!
Im not too picky on a sub. 225-325 (maybe 350) rms would probably be good. 12inch would be nice.. but it needs to hit fast as i listen to metal alot. I can make the box however i want.. which will probably be ported. oh and i just want one... i have to take the damn thing out for every race so its easyier.

^thats the amp that will power it... i already have it^ i thought it was much lower rms output so if anyone finds a sub they think would be better for this amp to power than what i want(im talking about the rms) thats fine. Please give me a link to the sub so i can look at it and buy it.
Thanks for anyone that does this for me.. im really lazy and 2 (of 4) of the ppl at work are out-of town so i picked up extra hours, plus 3 appoitments this week so i dont have much time to research.
thanks again

im trying to sell my sub and box, its a 12" bazooka p. miller signature series comp. subwoofer. It hit real hard when I had my 200 watt amp hooked to it. Its in a ported box and can handle 400 watts rms and peak power. If your interested I can get you better details, its new and I still have the original box for the sub..

I'll make one suggestion: Adire Tempest 12D4
Low cost ($229+shipping), VERY high SPL, even for a single woofer, very long cone throw, and extreamly clean sound with a very flat response across the whole reproduction spectrum.
It is rated at 600 watts RMS.

Just my 2 cents.

In a ported box, your amp will power it VERY well.kinkyllama wrote:wow i didnt think i could get that nice of a sub for the money. Will my amp power it okay? and which one should i get?

Just remember to keep the gains on the amp down a little bit so it does not send a clipped signal to the sub.
That sub will have more SPL than many pairs of 12" subs combined.
Simply put, you will be very amazed that all that sound is coming from one sub.
For help with the box, the guys at Adire Audio will have no problems answering any questions, or even helping with the specs to build the box properly to get optimal output.

That amp is rated at 500W x 1 RMS into 2 ohms, so you need the dual 4 ohm coil model Tempest 12D4. Connect the two coils of the sub in parallel so it gives the amp a 2 ohm load.
The amp also has a low pass filter, so remember to set the filter to about 10 to 15 Hz below the box's port turning. This will help stop mechanical damage to the sub by stopping it receiving frequencies below it's physical capability.

The best thing to do is contact them and let them know about the lack of dealers.
They will point you in the right direction.
Dealer support: sales@adireaudio.com
Again, as I said, they are great people to do business with and are very helpful, unless that has changed recently, which I doubt.

Hopefully they'll be in stock & get one shipped by the time you need it.
Some guy pulled up next to me yesterday... his bass was so loud it could feel it like it was 3 12s behind my seat and he was listening to metal. It was simply amazing
