Clutch guide?/shift guide?

Post by l_BlakBear_l »

recently my lanos messed up.. dunno what the correct terms for everything is so ill trry to explain it as best as i can. i was in 3rd gear driving. next thing i knew when i went to shift. the shifter was moving everywhere loosely. so i looked and saw that the parts were loose. it was missing the pin that holds it together. so i jimmy rigged it with a screw and nut. now i can take it in and out of gear. problem is. i cant put it into any other gear besides 3rd and 4th. it wont move to the left or right. i believe the parts guy told me it was called a clutch guide or a shift guide, not sure which one it is. if anyone can help me figure out the part. i could point it out if i saw it in one of those parts books. but i dont know where to look that up. especially for this car. any help is appreciated ty.

look there and see if you can find what you are talking about and then look on the various websites mentioned in http://www.daewootech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3599

good luck

i sorta found it on page 184 of that parts thing. part number 11 and 12 is what i fixed... which allows it to move in and out of gear. i think around part number 9 is the part that moves... but doesnt move the gears to the left or right.. he said it may just need adjustment but im not sure.. i might try to get a pic...need a camera first to show u.. but any one else have this happen b4?
