Tried BOSCH super 4 spark plugs
i have installed them spark plugs two days ago after recommending them to too many friends.
so far 3 well known friends stated that they felt big improvment in the car's performance after the installation of the spark plugs so i had to get a set for me.
after the installation (they replased Denso U groved spark plugs) i felt nothing has changed... nothing.
i have asked the guys again and they confirmed that the spark plugs made huge difference to the car performance, i let one of them to test drive my car and after the test drive he said: "the car pulls a bit slower than mine at low RPM but at high RPM it is better than mine".
the dude got a brand new 05' Lanos with less than 5,000 Kms on it and my car is a '99 Lanos with 62,500 Kms on it. it didn't make since to be that he felt such improvment and i didn't yet he was satisfied with the test drive.
i think the reason behind that feedback was the fact that i swapped the Denso with the BOSCH spark plugs while the other guys swapped the OEM Champion spark plugs which are not that good to start with... so practically the big bang they felt was due to the bad spark plugs they started with, i was already running on good spark plugs so i felt no difference.
as for the low and high performace differences... i think mine pulls slower at low RPM due to it is a 6 1/2 years old car with 62,500Kms on it and it got a 11 Kg jack and 30 Kg tool bag in the trunk, the high RPM superiority i got was due to removed resonator and CAT... i guess
what do you think guys?? i know the super 4 spark plugs doesn't add performance (its more about durability) but what about the "more power" feedback from the other fellow woo owners? and what about the performace fifference at low and high RPM compared to a brand new woo??... any ideas?

You're probabally right, a change from low quality old Champion plugs to high end Bosch 4 plugs would most likely result in a bit of a difference, but not anything "major" like your friends say. A switch for high end Denso to high end Bosch would yield no difference that I can see on an otherwise stock car. I also doubt that spark plugs would make that much of a difference anyhow, only if the old ones were dirty and corroded. I'm happy with my simple NGKs.
I think the best performance you can give your car is to take the 40 kgs of crap out of your trunk. . That would give you more power than any spark plug in the world.
Also, you guys still sell Lanoses new in Egypt?

i guess it was the crapy Chapion spark plugs too... they are dull as hell and the guy with the '05 Lanos used to own a '99 Lanos just like mine and he told me the old car with 100,000 Kms on it used to accelerate better than the '05 he got... when reporting that to the dealership they regapped the spark plugs, things got better but still not that good.
the Lanos and Nubira are still sold here... however the production stopped recently and the factory will start assembling the new GM cars, the AVEWo and OPTRA... or at least that what i heard concerning the switch to new GM cars.
i recon the available brand new Woos arround here are the last brand new woos to see the light... that is sad.

how many Kms did you have on your old spark plugs?? i had only 5,000Kms on my Denso when i replased them with the Bosch.mocpac_ser wrote:I install a set of those bosh in my nubira 2 weekends ago.. I feel a good improvment...
i think i felt mild improvment because i swapped a fairly new spark plug with a brand new one so that contributed to a less "improvment" feel.

Re: Tried BOSCH super 4 spark plugs
after many experiences with the field of "performance spark plugs & wires" i can confidently state that their are no HP gains from those products
the only improvement you feel is due to the fact that you replaces and old & used part with a brand new one... if you did the same with OEM parts you would have felt the same improvements... or in another way, if you used those performance parts to replace brand new OEM parts you won't feel any difference
this statement is based on testing BOSCH super 4 spark plugs, Splitfire spark plugs and Splitfire spark plug cables

Re: Tried BOSCH super 4 spark plugs
I replaced the OEM ones with PULSTAR pulse plugs with iridium tip . and nothing improved . I am shocekd from that . I feel very bad for paying 400 LE = 70 $ on nothing!!
Re: Tried BOSCH super 4 spark plugs
plugs or wires or oil etc, will never give you hp or torque
they can only regain power that has been lost through deteriorated plugs, wires or oil

and in most cases will give you more service Kms than OEMbenzino wrote:plugs or wires or oil etc, will never give you hp or torque

i tried the Splitfire spark plugs and i am currently using Splitfire spark plug cables and the performance gains are ZERO
