install tacho on lanos?

thanks for the pics man but here is the thing... i don't have this sensor on my car

... yes at this location i got just a mount for the sensor with the port plugged with steel so i am sure that my sensor is not missing... it is not designed to have one.

i don't know if this will mean that we both have different ECU's or not but i am sure we got something different.

If you don't have that sensor there then something must be diferent i think Ecu's and maybe just maybe the location where the cars were sent since mine is Federal Specs, but in terms there could be a signal there, hey why don't you post them an see how many members have this sensor and who doesn't

If any of you guys have a 1.6l... there's a much easier/quicker way of installing the tach.

However I can understand that'd take a bit of fiddling if you're not too sure what you're doing there; I had to remove my resonator box to poke the wire through to the interior; luckily I'd already made a hole for my amp cable. :P

its a cam position sensor and i don't have it either, those pics were sent to me by joseanevo .

also i never saw it on any of our localy assembled Lanoses and i don't know why we don't have it

i suppose the marking C reffers to something on the wire itself... maybe it is written on the wire r maybe this refers to the position of the wire in relation to the ECU socket.

One of them is the ground wirte now the other 2 should be from ECU and to ECU but don't know why, also mine is 98 model year could be that it change from year to year ???

I had to try all the wires(brown & white) and nothing??.
Then I try a green wire with black line
And he give me a signal but it seems an fuel signal
there were a off signal when fuel cut

and it was until 3.000 rpm

C refers to the position on the plug. Where each wire goes into the light blue plug, on the plug itself there is a little molded number to tell which one it is.

Make sure the collars on the diodes are the right way... also check your trigger wire (where you are getting your source from eg. after the two diodes that have been soldered) with a multimeter to make sure that your problem is not a faulty tacho.
