Lanos Cluster

Post by FaWEeToO »

a quick question

is the Lanos cluster that comes with a tacho is a direct fit?

if yes, how about connecting it?

or just make my life easier and get my self some aftermarket tacho?

You got a 1.6L right? If so, both should be easy. It's just a matter of connecting the tach signal wire (either from the tach or cluster) to the ECU. I would think that the cluster would be cleaner.

did all the lanoses that came into your countries have no tachs on them or what? if you have some then try finding a cluster at your local dealer or spare parts shop or even a junk yard.

Well, if you replaced the ECU, I hope you noted where the tach signal wire was. It's the one that's green with a black stripe.

if you got a 1.6 and swapped in a 2.0 then you are using the same ECU... the wiring will be the same

if you got a 1.5 and swapped in a 1.6 or 2.0 then you changed your ECU and that one is easy to hook a tach to that ECU.

the top end Egyptian lanoses (AKA full option) came with tachs... try to find one but bare in mind that the egyptian ones got 1.5 SOHC engine and yours have 1.6 DOHC (having said it was from the USA) so the ECUs are different so does the wiring.

all of the egyptian lanoses r 1.5?

well... i don't suppose daewoo made different clusters for the 1.5 and 1.6 engine equippted lanoses, i guess the wiring on both cars are made to fit a singly type of clusters so a 1.5 cluster is the same as a 1.6.
