Want brighter headlights

Post by kinkyllama »

I already have sylvian silverstars.. they're definitly brighter but i want even brighter. Plus they burn out fast. Is it possible to do HIDs or are all the kits only model specific? I know they're expensive but i want a really high end looking lights. I love how you can see the exact line where it looks like the suns shinning from those

Ideas?

Also i plan on doing the angel eyes in the near future.. anyone know if the process is the same to get the headlights opened up? I havnt looked at em much.

DO NOT GO WITH HID KITS

if you want hid's you need projectors, and if you have anything but the legunza (sp?) your going to need bi-xeon projectors.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PAIR-BOS ... 8365QQrdZ1

basicaly thats what your going to need to retro in for hid

if you do have a legunza you can use HIR lighting, or retro in a normal hid projector

you can try to go with a higher wattage bulb BUT you need to wire in a new harnest and relay.

and check my sig for any lighting questions beyond what bulb

hmm...any suggestions on what kidna flashlights?

Would a higher wattage bulb make that big of a difference? I mean is it really worth upgrading the wires and harness and relays? especialy since im even unsure if my car will power my new stereo properly

Well HIDs only draw 35w so that leaves more power for your stereo equipment.

I'm in the process of retrofitting some bi-xenons into my headlight housings. If you've ever driven in a car with HIDs then you'll definately see the difference.

well in your car you cant use hir. but you dont have to use the bi-xeon. you would need to retro in a normal hid projector

Image

you can see here how the light patter is going all over thats all waisted light and it blinds people thats why you need the projectors.

higher wattage doesnt also mean brighter, you dont want too blue of a bulb or yellow, in that site the best colour range to get is 4300k

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/00-05-To ... enameZWDVW

that is 5000k it would be a little more blue but not too blue most lights over that range your loosing more usable light.

the extra heat output is also a reason why to upgrade the wires, and yes a new harnest now will make a diffrence, when i upgrade thew wires for my hir's it was amazinig what the diffrence was.[/url]

What do you mean by retroing in a normal hid projector? Molding in projector headlight assemblys or is there an easyering way?

How would i go about upgrading the wires and harness, where would i get them and whatnot? Im clueless when it comes to this stuff

why do you guys copy my project before i have finished it. my god.
just jokeing. i am also in the process of reto fiting projects with angel eyes in my nubi. its not as easy as it seams. dont just jump into it. i have a low beam projector fom a mazda 6 and hi from a bmw. i still need to chop the bmw's reflector down to 4in. round. good luck to anyone venturing in. the reward is sometimes greater than the cost.
