OIL BURNING

my engine is burning oil. i was told it needs a valve job and something else thats gonna run around 700 bucs. he advised me to get a used engine for the car and switch it.. anyone know where i can buy a used lanos engine and around how much it would cost? if all else i got a daewoo going upo for sales

it still runs just burns through oil in like 3-4 days

are yoo sure its not piston rings?

im not entirly sure.. i remmeber him saying something about rings could be piston rings perhaps.. i think imma just trash the car or run it into the ground...hate to do it that way but i dont think putting much more money into the car makes any sense to me. unless i can come across an engine for a fair price

Got my replacement motor from http://www.lkqcorp.com/home/home.asp for $500. it had 24K miles on it.

i just called them and they have an engine with 59k miles and they want 650 for it plus 120 to ship it. so im lookin at 770 if i get it shipped. plus how much the mechanic wants to charge me to put it in. probably gonna be around 1000 dollars. not sure if i should fix it or not.
