Cat bypass flanges
I can't remember who it was, but they were making flanges to by pass the 1 st cat. Well I need a bottom flange. I really don't have the tools to cut metal right now, and it winter and snowy here, so I really don't want to get on the cold ground to pull the cat off to trace a patten, Even if some has the pattern that would be great. Thanks
Aveo that moves! Now I need those cams!
you mean this bypass??

I own that! Heh, subachad at Unique Motorsports made them. He only made two. I believe he sold the other one to Chris from Daewootech.net.mmamdouh wrote:you mean this bypass??

Did I sell it to Chris? I thought I still had it. If someone feels like cutting the flanges I can make those things pretty quick. The two I made, I cut the flanges by hand which was a PITA. Notice the I/D is different for the header collector and exhaust, hence the taper in the pipe.

the two flanges are slightly different if I remember correctly. You can have that off in about 20 minutes if you want to trace it out for yourself though.

I used a CEL Eliminator that was made for a WRX that I bought on ebay for like $5. You just need to figure out the color coding of the Lanos wires compared to the WRX. On Lanos (o2 sensor wires), purple is power and the brownish white is the signal. Or you can buy a fouler kit, which I believe is some sort of spark plug you put into the pipe.daewoomofo wrote:how do you get around the check engine light that will occure when you dont have the cat on there, is there a chip to put in the sensor plug or what?

the fouler is a spark plug "seat" that is used to make the O2 sensor a little far from the exhaust flow and forcing it to read less O2 levels thus fooling the ECu that the CAT is functioning normally.
