Yes, but I am trying to show our loyal Daewootech users how ignorant Daew0Leganza is. I'm starting to think is retarded or something. I am not trying to offend him or anyone else by saying that... but come on. Look how dumb he is.CustomLanos wrote:oh geez.....that must have taken a while

i've had a thought for a while now. one of my back hubs is stripped. well one of the stud holes is stripped. i was wondering instead of getting a whole new hub i was wondering if i should try to re-thread it. i figure that if it works then great only $25 at the most, if not then i'll just still be riding around the way i've been for like the past 6 months. what do ya'll think?

Helicoil. They worked on on my transmission mounts. I saw someone on here who has used it on their hub and says it works great!lanos2001 wrote:i've had a thought for a while now. one of my back hubs is stripped. well one of the stud holes is stripped. i was wondering instead of getting a whole new hub i was wondering if i should try to re-thread it. i figure that if it works then great only $25 at the most, if not then i'll just still be riding around the way i've been for like the past 6 months. what do ya'll think?

No, I think you are talking about teflon. Helicoils are like a pre-made threading that you install by drilling out the stripped one so the helicoil fits in its place... correct me if I'm wrong.lanos2001 wrote:helicoil??? is that that white taping looking stuff you put on the thread of the screw itself?
