I have to change my 4 tire. So I will upgrade to the wheel to 17" in the process. (I put suspencion and do not line up the car so the interior of the tira are fV(I<).

Here are the nominies

Passion 5

Also ICON (APC) have a copy or look alike of the apex 5

15.00 less ea. I'm not sure about anything from apc.

I personally like the Passion 5 but the big question is how heavy is it?

I've been looking for rims for a while but all the super light ones are either ugly or super expensive.

I like them all. A couple of things to be aware of though:

17" Rims can be big and heavy. Although there are some exceptions to this rule.

"Heavy" means that they will make your car slower. Of course, it will look faster... and that is sometimes all that matters.

"Big" means that the tires will be much lower profile. Which, of course, means that if you hit a rock or speedbump fast enough you may trash not only your tire but your rim as well.

I had a friend back in Montana that has some wicked nice low profile rims on his BMW 2002ti, but eventually took them off because they kept bending from road impacts. He never even drove it off pavement (a difficult thing to avoid in Montana.)

I understand that you probably *need* 17" rims simply for the looks, but your car will be faster if you stick with something smaller/lighter. Have you looked at some nice 15" or 16" racing rims?

I have 17" BSA's running 205/40 Kumho tyres.. I havent even scratched a rim yet and we got BAAAD roads out here in west sydney.

It's all about how you drive.. if you're gunna buy good rims, keep an eye out for pot holes, and drive slow on rough roads.. if you can't be bothered taking that kinda care with them, dont buy expensive wheels! :P

I'm not after performance at all (if i wanted to race, i wouldnt have bought a daewoo hehe) all i'm after is looks, so weight etc didn't bother me. They -are- heavy though.. so some of you boyracers prolly wanna go for 15-16inch max, and something in a racing rim rather than a looks-based rim.

Also find out what process they use to make the wheels.. makes a huge difference on how strong they'll be!

Hey, . I will not run (to much) with the 17" I will keep my 14" for that.

And from 16" to 17" I'm sure is not so much diference.
