GAUGES

Post by lanowoo »

YEAH ther not too bad since it makes more sense than # anyhow, i wanted to put the s**t word at the 200 mph mark, but i thought that may not of been a good idea. Now when you are passing someone on the street, you know what they are saying as you pass by. You can also tell how much money estimated left in your tank. i couldn' think anything for the temperature gague so i have to get ideas. As for the other lights, i could(if i had a template or something) put a daewoo symbol or the LANOS or etc.. for the cel, brakes, seatbelt,hi beams and all with the marking interacting w the indicator lamp. Awe.... I noticed today when I was looking at my gauges that it goes up to 130mph on the speedo... I think I'm going to have to scan my own unless someone has a scan of one that hits 130, then re-do it.

I'm figuring that it's a difference between the 1.5 and 1.6... This is just a guess, but it would make sense since the 1.5 really shouldn't go quite as fast as the 1.6 (stock anyway).

If you have a 1.5, look and see if your speedo stops at 120 and if you have a 1.6 look to see if it hits 130.

well... we - 1.5 SOHC owners - got that issue as well, the older cars like mine cam with a speedo up to 200 km/h and the newer ones came with speedo up to 220 km/h... no idea why.

guages

Post by lanowoo »

but could you use any of the guages oneach other, or would they have to b diffrent because i have the 1.6 that doesnt go to 200mph on the guage itself, i would think that the bigger the engine and how lanos is the sport hatchback of the woo models, it should have the gage that makes it go (or appear) faster than the others. one person told me that if they saw a woo like mine with 200 mph in the inst. panel, he would not even attempt to race me, doesn't the Lanos look intimidating kinda just all stock? ;)

I don't know if they're interchangeable. I know the US gauge's KPH guides are in different spots then the Foreign ones. But I haven't compared the 130 to the 120 mph gauges.

i think the only thing youcan do is to swap the whole speedometer as the 120 and 120 mph doesn't moveas fast as each other if you know what i mean... in my case - kph rating - the 100 km/h is in the top of the gauge and i have the 200 km/h rating... if i got the printed background from a 220 km gauge; i will be going 100 km/h yet my speedo shows 110 km/h or so, it will only mess your readings.
