No need

Post by wolfhound »

dude, there is no need for any of that fancy stuff, PROVIDED you stick with the 25hp WET kit. The Woo pistons are a solid skirt design and only give hassles when detonation occurs. you wont have this hassle provided you fit the kit according to the fitting instructions, and ONLY use when above second gear and above 2500rpm, thats the way I had it set before and not one hassle.

The WET kit is the one that injects fuel at the same time it injects the NOS.

NOS is fun, it does work, and it aint (that) dangerous - in moderation.

BUT in the long run it works out more expensive than the turbo route. I have sitting in my room at home, a 30hp kit complete with 10lb bottle, foggers and pipes, I haven't fitted it to the Turbo Woo, coz it now cost us about $100US to fill. someone making way to much money out here in Africa.

I say go for it for fun, but watch the pocket and don't get gready with it.

Most of the good companies sell wet kits.

The NOS one I used can complete with the two solenoids, jets and the fogger.

For fuel supply:
All i did was cut the fuel supply hose to the injectors, add a T piece to the fuel solenoid. Fule injected cars have got enough pressure to run the NOS solenoid.

For Fogger install:
I drilled a small hole in the intake pipe just before the butterfly (throttle body)

Power:
Used a relay on a toggle switch and a microswitch on the full throttle position to swithc on the solenoids.

Check your NOS supplier - all the above should come in the kit. If you a novice it ahould only take about 3 hours to install.

Have fun

If you buy a wet kit, pull timing for it and use a progressive controller to add it in gradually... your stock motor should be able to handle 75-100hp extra.

I have a wet, direct port, 100hp system on my sunbird to spool the monster turbo. An MSD MSR pulls 1 degree of timing for ever 25hp added by nitrous. I used a 3 stage msr with timed relays to go allong with the progressive controller to get down exact timing.

If you plan out your system well, the limit is going to be the capability of your bottom end. Nitrous does not kill motors, the driver kills the motor.
