Hey Guys, just need a few of my thoughts cleared up,
im wanting to remove my rocker cover, clean it up and paint it,
It has a few bubble singes on it that i will need to sand back; picture has been photo shopped, so singes unseen, only a little bit visible need oil cap; but apart from that my only concern is are their any precautions that i need to take when removing the cover, and are there any specific tension settings for when i put the cover back on.
Also what paint sould i use.
thanks

no special requirments to do that... just get a new gasket for it as the old one will probably foul as soon as you put the cover back on.

If you want to paint it, I would first use 'adhesive promoter'. You can normally buy it in spray can at your automotive parts store. Basically it forces oils to come out of plastic that got there during the molding process, and then use.
Afterwards, I'd use engine paint or, ideally, have the valve cover powder-coated.
