Air intake advice

If i took out the entire tube marked in red, sealed up the point maked in blue and install a small DIY air filter at the yellow spot. What will happen better engine respond , hurt the engine, spoil the engine , cause CEL or whatever?

It will drop oil into your engine compartment. Do the oil catch can mod.

As for the intake, it's fine.


But yeah, fine a way to divert that tubing to a can to catch the junk in it.

I messed with a catch can and didnt like it...so I just ran the tube to under the car...cost like $3 from a hardware store.

There were several times I could smell some oil vapors though I haven't smelt any for along time.
