timing belt broke. Can't find part!
Ok, so I messed up. I didn't change my timing belt at 60k on my "04" Aveo. All 16 valves bent and I've got 10 boken valve guides. I'm in Grand Rapids MI and I can't find anybody that can supply me with those parts for my 1.6 DOHC. Who do I need to contact!
By the way, it broke at 68k.

I'm in Detroit. I'm 90% sure i want to do a 2.0 swap in my Lanos, if i do decide to do that i could sell you my head, or even the whole engine. i just have to see where my car would fall in with the SCCA. If i decide to swap ill let you know. on a side note if there is any one who is firmilliar with the SCCA standards and such i would greatly appreciate any advise you can give me on my car (PM me if you can/want to help me)

Gm-Car-Parts doesn't have them either
Might be time to upgrade to a Lanos head and buy a Lanos intake manifold too
(you can get one for about 500 shipped, plus a head gasket for 50, and a manifold for 50)
Good luck, I wish I knew where to get you valves
$500.00 (USD) for a complete Lanos head, huh ? Is that new or rebuilt ?
And who has it ? Daewoo ?
thanks

Personally, I'd go and find a reputable mechanic to recondition your head. Just had a similar thing happen on the lanos, only cost AUD$400 for reco, came back like new. Initially i went to Holden (GM in Oz) and they outsourced it for us. Quoted us $600, but dad had a chat and got it down to $400... BARGAIN. Bet ya dont let the timing belt go again, i sure as hell wont be.
Did anybody bring any superglue, or are we doin a bodgy with the race tape again?
