How do I tighten my handbrake?
It's something that would be done on a garage service, but don't know how to do it myself.

remove the back part of the mid consol... their is two screws, one on each side
you will find a 10mm bolt at the end of the ebrake cable... tighten it a bit more.
put every thing back in place and have fun.

Thanks. Is there a certain amount you should tighten it?

Done it now, thanks
Is it possible to tighten it too much, so that the brakes are kinda on when driving? That could be damaging.

i am not sure but i think that can be done... only way to check is to jack the car up and spin the rear wheels by hand when the e brake is not applied... the wheels should spin freely without much effort.
also if the ebrakes are engaged at all time you should notice that the car is a bit "heavier" while driving and the rear wheels will get too hot... a burning smell might accompany such setuation.

If it was only as simple... FYI to others on this issueMMamdouh wrote:remove the back part of the mid consol... their is two screws, one on each side

I had the same issue... went to adjust those nuts... and found out there wasn't enough thread to get the P Brakes to engage... I had to pull the hubs and manually adjust the parking brake pad assemblies out with the threaded adjuster (in which one was frozen and I had fun breaking that loose ) ... Then I couldn't figure out how to evenly adjust each side to match the other... I just did by feel... of how the pad was riding on the inside of the hub as I turned the hub... I got it done... but was a little off on the driver side and need to pull it again to readjust that side... But at least I got a P brake now...
