Hi all,
I'm seeking crank of z18xe (small block) series engine. New one would be salute, but used in an excellent condition i'm interested too.

I don't think that motor came to North America, I've never heard of it.......

now its a g15mf daewoo sohc engine from nexia. this is former opel c16nz (c16lz, c16xe) engine. The new small block series engine crank has another dimentions of both main and rod bearings
g15mf main: 55mm, rod 43mm
z18xe main: 58mm, rod 49mm
but cylinder spacing is the same
I only should grind out crank jornals thats all. And there is enough place in crankcase to fit z18 crank
people, please help to find crank and I post my project with photo.

i see... as much as i would like to help , you would be hard pressed to find someone on this forum that is in your area and would be of any assistance.
the forum may be international but the vast majority of the users are from South, Central and North America.
please keep posting here but you may be better off looking to the Ukraine, Russia or even China if you can't get help in Uzbekistan.
i'm very interested in seeing pics of your project.

You would have better luck picking up a low mileage Z18XE engine than just the crank.
Here is one in the UK....

Not exactly cheap... but it's probably cheaper than buying a brank new crankshaft from a dealership.

thank you bros I've also came into conclusion that buying hole z18 engine will be more logical and chiper
please pick up here links of opel\vaux forums in europe. I've posted in one of them, its migweb. Do you know other popular boards?
I see small block very common in Britain in vaux corsa/astra/vectra is it so?
yesterday I made some calculations and drawing and found out that grinding rod jornal with center removal to out side brings 94.2 of stroke but I'm not sure if age/face of crank or rod's cap would fit in the crankcase. Time is show
PS I've already sleeved my block because max of boring is 79, mine is 82mm crasy? I dont think so
pics soon

Migweb is probably your best bet since it has all sorts of Vauxhall vehicles on it.
I hang out in a few other forums dedicated to the Astra MK2 but the Z18 is from the newer gen Astras so I don't think it would be a usefull place to post.
Germany would be another good place to pick up a Z18 but almost all of the forums are in German so unless you know somebody it might be hard to find what your looking for.

It sounds like a version of the Z18XE will be in our Saturn Astra which will be here in late November.
The 1.8L engine in the saturn has a bore stroke of 80.5mm X 88.2mm so I'm pretty sure that's what your looking for.
Interestingly enough the spec sheets for the Saturn Astra 1.8 quotes forged steel connecting rods.
Here is the spec sheet.........
http://media.gm.com/us/powertrain/en/pr ... 08_2H0.xls
So if you can wait for a couple of months I can see how much the local Saturn dealership wants for the crank.

I think they pushed back the release a few weeks and last time I heard they were talking about december some time, I will ask GsiTurbo if he's heard anything ( he's on a customer call list for when the first ones come in )
