Update: Working now...

Post by WooJD »

Update: Ok, so today I did the big no-no and lit up, tomorrow we will try again 8) (for those who didnt read. i'm quitting smoking)

Anyhow, the good news is:

I have the wiring to the door switch done.
I now have 2 ends of 2 wires loose in the car, one which connects directly to the door switch, and the other which connects directly to the alarm system (YAY!)

So all I have to do, is connect the two wires together (easy) then cable tie them up high :)

Also, The last stage of this project is the immobiliser, this will most likely connect to the current killswitch (which I might remove - or leave for manual override). I appreciate your ideas on this...

Thanks
The one and only,
JD....

hey bro its no big deal. every one here was a newbie once also. i think that if there were more people that had done what you were doing (their self) you would have gotten more help, but with alarms its usually easier to go get it doneby a "pro". the only reason i did mine myself is that i had one (also remote start) on my old (red) lanos, and when i got my new (silver) lanos, i wanted it again. so i took it out of the red car, making a note of what wire went where, and i just plug and played it into the new woo. glad to hear it went well for you though.

Hi, good job for the newbie like me.
I have a keyless aftermarket too, but i dont know how setup the wires. The +12 volts and ground ok, motor in the main drivers door ok. The only problem is in the module of central locking in the lanos, what wire cut I it?.

Sorry for my poor English. I´m Spaniard. Thanks a lots.

What kind of car do you have?

Does the car have central locking currently installed? (Like mine did, A motor in all doors except drivers door)

2 or 4 door?

Ok, Have you got an actuator (motor) for the drivers door? All other doors should be fine as you have central locking allready in them.

Connect your actuator to the door ONLY on the drivers side... You can use a back door (slave) actuator, or a front door (master) actuator, you should only need two wires (the blue and green according to the diagram you showed)

Hope this helps... Need more info? Just reply to this post.

P.S. Don't cut any wires until you KNOW they are not needed *after testing*

Ok, It's quite simple when you think about it :)

Connect the actuator to the driver door
The actuator pulls the rod
The rod presses the switch
The switch activates other doors

I was trying to figure out what you are saying at first... But you dont need to connect anything to the daewoo central locking... as when you put the actuator in, the switch will trigger other doors...

So all you need to do is connect your aftermarket kit to your aftermarket actuator (which gets put in the drivers door)

Simple enough? :p

Is very, very simple. Another day puts a aftermarket keyless in mercedes, in this case I cuted a blue wire to connect module keyless to central locking. In daewoo is very simple.

Thanks a lot. :D

:( In Summer I put the keyless, but doesnt worked fine. The door open fine, but not closed correctly. Other problem is the 12 volts for the relay. I passed a wire for the door, but the door has a plug with the wires of door lock actuator and power window motor. How cross this plug?
