Specifically on the Nexia/Astra/Cielo/Racer/Lemans/Kadett.
Anyone have experience with this? Want to know what it envolves doing in general, doesnt have to be nexia specific.
Cheers,
Paul

I thought about doing the samething but with wrx sti front fenders then I was going to have someone weld them to the front and back but i was not sure if it would look good on a lanoswhat I did was take a set of front fenders and grafted them into the rear. RF fender to the LR and the LF fender to the RR
2.0 engine swap in the works

unfortunetly I don't have pics, the memory card that they where on got crushed. there are pics around of me mocking it up with the wide body.Pir0 wrote:Hmmm, i heard someone on the mk2 forum did that too. Have you any pics? Don't the back wheels look lost in the bubbly arches? OR did you use a different offset on the rear/deeper wheel on the rear?
the wheels look fine, I did use a spacer in the back but fronts stick out 1/2" more than the backs so it just balances everything out.
I don't think I'd have the cahonies to do that man lol. I like the shape of the rear arches, its just the fucking rust is prone to attack them on our cars. by ours, i mean our kinda model. Astras kadetts, lemans, nexias etc. It's really annoying, it's one of the only thing I don't like about them..
But thanks for the pics m8, it's something to concider, and cheers for having a look about for them.

ha ha... I know it took a really long time to the nerve but it was worth it.
if you where looking to roll the fender to prevent rest than I don't know that it will help. you might end up making the shelf more likely to catch dirt and water. I'm not sure if it's available where you are but there is a rust prevention paint called "POR-15" that is best for what you are after. you clean and scuff the surface and paint and it guarenteed to stop surface rust that is there and prevent new rust from forming. this way there is no modifications needed.
let me know if you can't find it and I'll see about getting a quart out to you.
