Is ET38 very common though? I think ET35 wheels are more plentiful, and then would you use a 3mm spacer to get ET38 ???
I just gotta say as well, I love this forum, of all the forums I have been a member of, this has got to be the best...
Maybe it's because Daewoo drivers are so nice!!!
Your best offset would be between 40 and 49. Prefereably higher than 40.
Have a look at this.
As You can see, the lower the ET# the further out the wheel will sit.
Why he asked was the car lowered, was because, well, logically, there's only so far your wheel can sit out before it scuffs the arch. Especially when it's lowered. Which is why it's recommended getting as close to possible, the standard offset on new wheels, so there's least possible scrubbing in the arch when hitting bumps etc.
Oh yep, but then that same mindset... If you have the same offset as stock, but then you get wheels wider than stock, the wheel may foul on the suspension. Is that correct?

Like car electronics, this is another thing i'm only just starting to understand.
The lower your car is every mm counts. You could probably do +35 alll the way to +48 and be fine. With my car being so low and with my bigger brakes I have to have my wheels within 2mm or they won't fit at all
