what problems been solved by audio Cap ?

can any one tell me about any sound problems (like vol up & down) or any other problems been solved by adding an audio cap ? specialy in Daewoo Lanos

plz give me some info to share in this space

caps are usualy used to illiminate or reduce the low voltage instances that occure when you have massive sound system with lots of subwoofers... those cause split second low voltage usualy viewed as dimming lights when hard bass notes are playing

i am not the sound expert arround here so you better get a second opinion

A Capacitor or sound cap Does MORE HARM then good when powring anything under 2,000 watts mininum.

REplace your alternator, Battery, Or wiring.

Capacitor or Stiffening capacitors do just that...
They stiffen the system to prevent voltage drops and I guess in a way, prevent voltage spikes as well.

In my opinion there are a lot of other things you can waste your money on rather than caps. They just look impressive (especially the light up ones with voltage meters), but there is not much point having them in a car with a small system.

So does, having a better battery or replacing the alternator with a beefier unit.

Also dimming lights can be a grounding problem. . .

the stock speakers and headunit sux on the daewoo

if u buy quality speakers and add dynamats with a Pioneer DEH-P6800MP or higher u can pump out real quality music with zero distortion even with bass set to max

when a cap releases its power it has to restore it. so you arent really fixing ANY problem, if any thing it makes it worse. caps drain out in some thing like .2 seconds, then they need to be rechaged, so it only puts a very small delay in the low power situation. dont waist your time or money.... i wish i hadnt (2.5 years ago)

been there done that, they dischage in no time. think about it. lets say his car has a 80 amp alternator. his stereo uses (just a number here) 65 amps. when his stereo hits it will draw the full 65 amps. if he has a cap it will draw the 65 from the cap in something like .2 seconds, then his alternator has to work twice as hard to run the stereo and charge the cap so it can be drained almost instantly. so his stereo draws 65, the cap is drawing 65 and his alt only puts out 80, there is 50 amps that has to be drawn from some where, its gonna come from the battery, and his lights will dim and such. if you are that worried about not enought power, install a second battery, that is a sure fire way to supply power to your stereo

I personally like them. I had a large but not massive system last time I had a CAP. Even with a good battery and grounds the lights would dim at idle only when the bass hit hard. The CAP would prevent that, for a small amount of time. Although it was a small amount of time I feel it was enough to take off a huge strain on the system until the traffic light turns green again. The CAP was matched to my subs amp and connected to it only while I had another smaller amp powering some speakers. If I got one again, which I would if I had the spare funs, then it would be much larger than the system. I think you should get a better battery first unless the dimming is only a tiny amount. For me personally I wouldn't consider upgrading the alternator, way to much time and money to fix a small problem that a cheap CAP almost fixed.

Either way ground your battery better. It's easy, cheap, and has tons of +++

i have a sound drop "vol up (the bass hits) next sound goes down"

sound ups and downs...is that a problem can caps solve it

no dimming light at all plazzzzzzzzzzzz who did try plz say

Wow thats a weird problem...
Why don't you post the specs of your system? Then maybe the problem can be solved faster.
