my system is

head unit>>>>pioneer 6950ib "brand new
speakers>>>>2*400w coaxial pioneer
sub woofer>>>pioneer 12" 1200watt "400 rms"
amp>>>>>>>kenwood kac8403 800watt "2*90 rms for speakers + 180*1 rms for the sub woofer" 40amp

total RMS is 360rms and all connections is more than perfect

any help?

like i said i was running like 1400 rms watts, i wonder if your alternator is dieing? did you do the "big 3" (new batery to engine wire, battery to boty wire and batery to alternator wire) if not i say go to a welding supply store and get 4 awg welding cable and do that. i did and it worked GREAT!

It's such a strange problem to have, volume fluctuation...
It's not that big a system, it shouldn't be draining much juice.
Maybe try running a dedicated fused power line to the headunit. Maybe the headunit is faulty, do you have any way of testing it on someone elses system and vice-versa testing there headunit on your system...

Have you tried the system with all the setting as default?

Also you say that your connections are perfect... what are the specs of the wiring you are running?

It's really hard to try anything on another system and was working just fine with my 500w kenwood amp 25amp 170w rms
once i replaced it with that big one

wiring is more than enough 16mm certifyied cables wthi gold plated ends
great grounds and big groundin kits
i'm susppect the batt it's more than 2 years old
cuse when i shut the engin and work with the batt only the problem still there

and i did everything with defult setings

i'm going crazy man

i have a sound drop "vol up (the bass hits) next sound goes down"

sound ups and downs...is that a problem can caps solve it

If there are no dimming lights but the sound drops is it the bass just drowning out the sound or does the bass drop too?

I doubt it's the battery or alternator if the lights aren't dimming.

I don't think that its about the amp !! I't s a brand new one and it's happen when it's cold or hot & the only old thing in my systrm is my car batt

and can vibrations effect my car batt?? cos sometimes after some vibrations the problem happens

my lights starts to dim a littel bit today

and when i open the door the interior light is seriosly dimming & very easy to notice even when the engin is running!!

& the alarm system as far that it used to be

the problem is moving slowly and more day by day

any ideas??

Sounds like Either your alternator or your battery is going out, go to autozone and have them check them both for free.... DO NOT BUY A CAPACITOR!

It is useless with smaller systems, replace your wiring and terminals;).

he should have added a capacitor before his electrical system became stressed to the point of damage

it could also be the battery cause u said the sound drops after a loud volume sound cause the battery is drained then gets recharged by the alternator

HIS STEREO IS NOT STRESSING HIS CAR! like i said i had 1400+ watts rms in my woo, all was good. i say he needs to replace the battery and/or the alternator.v since his battery is older i would start with the battery.
