brake pad fitment question

Post by MMamdouh »

the pad set of a 1.6 lanos has 2 out of the 4 pads with kinda metal part protruding to the outside as seen in the pic (top pad)

at which side should the pad with the metal thingy be placed? at the outside (rim side) or at the inside (brake piston side)? also should this metal thingy be at the top or the bottom of the pad when it is placed on the caliper bracket??

nope... if they do then i wouldn't be asking this question... practically you can put it on both sides either upwards or downwards and i need the correct setting

ah sorry. but judging from the pic Daniel posted id say the pad with the metal tab goes on the outside down.
