:D well at least we know the motor's good for the power... now we just need an affordable tranny that wont blow up after 250whp or so :roll:

they was a bunch of steam coming from the antifreeze resorvoir that engine must have got really hot with that many horse's

Yeah the vid was on here Garrett, I tried to find it to post it in my last post, but couldnt find it. Tried finding it on astra-mk2 aswell but couldnt. I think Efrain posted it, tried searching for all his threads but still no joy.

Ahaaa, thats why I couldnt find it. I tried searching 9sec, 9 sec, 9 second and 9second aswell as astra, mk2 etcetc. Fucking 8 seconds!

Yeah thats the one though. Looks to be based around an LET from what I seen in the pics.

As for tranny issues...there is a company that works with the 4t40e in chevy cavaliers out in california...they have a race built one that is supposed to handle 600 hp...couldn't it be made to fit the lanos very easily? I'll see if Ican find their website.

From what I know here in SA - this Opel is running an F28 Getrag gearbox with a Quiaffe LSD - like I said in another post....these trannies can handle pretty much anything one can throw at them :D :D :D If anyone beggs to disagree, I can get to Nassen, speak to him personally and maybe take some pics as well????
