apparently i spoke too soon last night. :cry: my dsl was up for like five minutes then back down. i woke up and it was back on but not sure for how long.

i've had a thought for a while now. one of my back hubs is stripped. well one of the stud holes is stripped. i was wondering instead of getting a whole new hub i was wondering if i should try to re-thread it. i figure that if it works then great only $25 at the most, if not then i'll just still be riding around the way i've been for like the past 6 months. what do ya'll think?

Helicoil. They worked on on my transmission mounts. I saw someone on here who has used it on their hub and says it works great!

helicoil??? is that that white taping looking stuff you put on the thread of the screw itself?

No, I think you are talking about teflon. Helicoils are like a pre-made threading that you install by drilling out the stripped one so the helicoil fits in its place... correct me if I'm wrong.
