A simple solution to this problem (if there is one) is to do to the MAP sensor what tuners have been doing to them for years. If we fear getting a bad read-out from the MAP sensor we simply put check valves in line with the tube going to the sensor from the manifold. Let it bleed off anything that could be read as not either atmosphere or vacuum. I doubt that there should be a problem though, either way. HOWEVER...instead of the paltry gains to be had from a simple throttle-body swap...the (lucky) guys in Europe could very well go for a multi-carb set-up! Yes indeed fellas...let's not disregard the trust old carburettor. Them guys in Europe still use them and can get up to 245hp from in the 2.0 16v!!
