CEL; evaporative emissions valve (or vent) intermittent

Found the canister, with a glance I didn't see the solenoid but I'm sure it's there. Now my CEL isn't throwing that code though.

Well I'm guessing they mean an electrical circuit "open" which means theres no continuity through the circuit. Possible a bad connector or broken wire somewhere would keep the circuit open. Could also be an internal fault within the device.
